Real Life/Real Talk Volunteers Needed

Crystal Collette, Program Manager of Real Life. Real Talk. at Planned Parenthood of the Rochester/Syracuse Region, wrote recently in the hopes of finding volunteers:

So, attached you will find a general brochure on a new community campaign – Real Life. Real Talk. This is a new social marketing campaign that will be driven by a coalition of agencies, businesses, faith communities, and individuals in our community who are all working to give parents the tools they need to talk to their teens about sexual health and relationships. Real Life. Real Talk. is very innovative and exciting and is focused on bringing different members of the community together to support parents.

What I am looking for is young people of influence in our community. I am working on setting up an Advisory Council that will serve as consultants and connectors for the project. I would love to find a (or several) motivated, connected younger people from the community who care about the issue of healthy sexuality. Young parents would be a plus! Part of the approach that Real Life. Real Talk. takes is that we need non-traditional partners, including the business community, to tackle this issue.
